Match Preview
One of the most interesting third round replays in the FA Cup will be staged on Tuesday, as West Ham United look to avoid a shock exit at the hands of Bristol City. The Hammers appeared to be coasting toward the fourth round in the first match between the sides at the London Stadium following Jarrod Bowen’s opener after just four minutes.
However, Bristol City refused to back down from the challenge posed by their Premier League rivals, and they grabbed a deserved equalizing goal in the final half an hour. Their leveling effort was netted by Tommy Conway after 61 minutes. In fact, Bristol created the better chances in the final stages to steal a shock win in London.

West Ham looked on course for a place in the fourth round after their early opener. Bowen’s goal was his 14th of the campaign, which means that the forward has already eclipsed his total for the entirety of last term. However, the goal that they conceded against Bristol was the first that they have allowed in the third round since the 2016-17 FA Cup.
Bristol’s draw meant that they were unable to end their poor away run against Premier League opposition. They are now winless in their last nine matches at top-flight opposition since a shock victory at Anfield against Liverpool in January 1994.
Bristol City vs West Ham Prediction
This could be a match that goes either way on Tuesday. However, we will be keeping faith with the Hammers, as they boast better quality across the field, and that should be enough to get them over the line this week in the FA Cup.
