Game Preview

Brighton eased past Grimsby in the Quarter Finals 5-0, with teenage forward Evan Ferguson the star of the show. Roberto De Zerbi’s Brighton side has played exciting, attacking football all season, and in Ferguson, as well as Solly March, Karou Mitoma, and Alexis Mac Alister, they have unearthed young talent with a hunger for success.

Man United overcame Fulham 3-1 in a feisty Quarter Final. The Cottagers saw two men and their manager sent off in one of the most talked about games of the season so far. Whilst Man United has picked up three straight wins in the league things have not been plain sailing for the Red Devils in that time. Injuries to Marcus Rashford, Raphael Varane, and Lisandro Martinez have made rotation impossible for Erik Ten Hag and his side is certainly weaker as a result.

Prediction

Even with injuries to Man United’s talismanic forward and defensive mainstays, it would be foolish to write them off. This side knows how to win when things are tough. That said, Brighton has a swagger about them this season and I think they will edge it in a very close encounter here.
