Match Preview
The 2025 MLS campaign has been a miserable one for the LA Galaxy to this point. The defending champions come into this round after a 3-0 win over Vancouver last time out, which ended a run of three matches without a victory. However, the Galaxy still sit bottom of the Western Conference standings after 21 rounds of matches.
In truth, a lot of their issues this term have come on the road, as they are yet to win in 12 away matches. But, the Galaxy have also won just 22% of their home fixtures. Defensively, they have been below the standard required, as they have shipped an average of two goals per game, and scored just 1.05 per 90.

However, the reigning champions will be favored in the betting this weekend. D.C. United have failed to win in their last five across all competitions, and they have scored just three times over that period. In midweek, the capital club was knocked out of the U.S. Open Cup after losing 5-2 in Nashville.
But, it could be worth noting that United have won 22% of their matches on the road, which is a superior record when compared to home matches. However, D.C. United have struggled in front of goal throughout the campaign, scoring an average of just 0.81 and allowing 1.86 efforts per fixture.
