Event Preview
Although it has looked likely since the start of December, a day of celebration finally arrived at Anfield last Sunday, as Liverpool’s second Premier League title was secured following a dominant win over Tottenham. The Reds have now recorded victories in each of their last three league matches, and they will be aiming to end the season in dominant fashion.
Chelsea also have big targets of their own to achieve in the final month of the season. The Blues remain in a strong position to achieve Champions League qualification, and a win this weekend could see them move to as high as third in the standings. Chelsea have won their previous two, and have gone five without a defeat.

However, the Blues have a miserable record against Liverpool. Chelsea have failed to win in their last ten meetings against the Reds across all competitions. But, it could be worth noting that a staggering seven fixtures over that period have ended in draws.
Liverpool recorded a 2-1 win over the Blues earlier this season, and they could achieve a first league double over their rivals since 2019-20. Chelsea’s form could be worth considering this weekend, as Enzo Maresca’s side have picked up 17 points from their last eight matches.
However, the attack-minded visitors shouldn’t be underestimated after scoring in all 30 of their Premier League outings since a 1-0 defeat against Nottingham Forest in September.
Chelsea vs. Liverpool Picks
Chelsea have progressed under Maresca this season, and they are in a strong position to achieve Champions League qualification. However, a blow to their hopes could be suffered against a confident Liverpool side at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
