Event Preview
It could be argued that Leicester and Southampton will be relegated back to the Championship after being two of the worst teams to ever compete in the Premier League. That could certainly be the case for the visitors this Saturday, as the Saints are on course to break the lowest tally of points in competition history.
Leicester’s relegation was announced a couple of weeks ago, and their poor form in the second half of the season has shown no signs of ending. The Foxes come into this round after losing four of their last five, and each of their previous two.

Leicester secured a dramatic 3-2 win in the reverse fixture this season, and that means that they could complete a first Premier League double over the Saints since 1999-2000. Southampton have been poor in recent meetings against the Foxes, losing each of the previous three head-to-head clashes.
Leicester’s recent home record would be a significant concern ahead of this showdown. The Foxes have lost their last nine at the King Power Stadium by an aggregate scoreline of 22-0. Only Wolves between December 1984 and April 1985 have ever failed to score in ten straight home matches in the top-flight.
Defeat for Southampton on Saturday would see their spot at the bottom of the standings secured. The Saints have already conceded 80 goals this season, which is their most since 1971-72, and they are just three away from breaking their worst defensive record in the top-flight.
