Match Preview
Chelsea finally got off the mark for the new season in their previous home match, as Raheem Sterling scored twice in a 3-0 win over Luton Town. The win brought an end to an eight-match sequence without a victory for the Blues in the league at Stamford Bridge. However, you need to go back to October last year for the last time that Chelsea recorded consecutive wins in front of their home fans.
The Blues boast an excellent record in this fixture, as they are unbeaten in their last nine against Forest in all competitions. Their most recent defeat was a 2-0 loss in January 1997. But, both matches between the sides last season ended in draws, including a 2-2 tie at Stamford Bridge.

Nottingham Forest have already caused issues for both Arsenal and Man United on the road this term. They quickly raced into a 2-0 lead at Old Trafford last weekend, but they surrendered that advantage, before falling to a 3-2 loss. Forest have won just one of their last 21 Premier League away matches since returning to the division at the start of last season.
Meanwhile, Forest have recorded just a single victory on their previous 14 visits to Stamford Bridge across all competitions. They are winless in nine visits since a 2-0 win in January 1995. But, the signs from their recent performances at the Emirates and Old Trafford could indicate that they may give the Blues something to think about this weekend.
Chelsea vs Nottingham Forest Prediction
Chelsea’s record in this fixture is incredibly challenging to overlook. However, a huge chance will be taken on the draw this weekend. The Blues still have issues in the final third, while Forest looked extremely dangerous on the counter-attack at Old Trafford last weekend.
