Event Preview
It is a season that both Tottenham and West Ham will be hoping to forget about in a hurry. Spurs come into this weekend believing that they have one foot in the Europa League final following a 3-1 success over Bodo/Glimt on Thursday. However, their domestic form has been poor after losing each of their last three matches.
West Ham’s form doesn’t read much better. The Hammers sit 17th in the Premier League standings after losing two of their last three. Meanwhile, the East London club have failed to win in their last five Premier League matches, and they sport one of the worst attacking records in the top-flight this term.

West Ham have avoided defeat in their last four Premier League home matches against Tottenham, which is their best unbeaten sequence against Spurs since 2001. However, Spurs landed a 4-1 success over the Hammers earlier this season, and are chasing a first league double over their rivals since 2019-20.
Potter’s arrival at the London Stadium has done little to ease their position in the standings. In fact, since the Englishman arrived at the club, only Southampton have dropped more points from winning positions than the Hammers.
Tottenham’s away record is also a worry ahead of this weekend’s clash. Spurs have suffered defeats in their last four matches on the road, and they have allowed four goals in two of their last three matches.
West Ham vs. Tottenham Picks
Neither of these sides bring solid form to the table this weekend. However, it is hard to ignore that Tottenham have a season-defining Europa League clash on Thursday. With key players likely to be rested, West Ham should take full advantage at the London Stadium.
