Head-to-Head Record

Nashville recorded a 1-0 victory in the previous encounter between the sides this season, meaning that they have now won each of their last two against the Union. Philadelphia haven’t won an away match against Nashville since April 2024.

Match Preview

It has been a disappointing period for Nashville, as they have lost ground on the sides at the top of the Eastern Conference after losing each of their last two. The MLS side were last in action losing 2-1 against Cincinnati on Saturday.

However, they were excellent in the previous round of the U.S. Open Cup, as they powered to a 5-2 success against D.C. United in mid-July. Sam Surridge was once again the star man for the team, as he netted twice in the success.

Despite sitting top of the Eastern Conference standings, the Union will be aiming for a return to form this week. A rare low point in 2025 was inflicted over the weekend, as they were hammered 7-0 in Canada by the Vancouver Whitecaps.

However, it wouldn’t be against the odds to see them get their form back on track. In the previous round of the U.S. Open Cup, the Union registered a 3-2 win over the NY Red Bulls. Their winner was netted in the final minute by Olwethu Makhanya.

Nashville vs. Philadelphia Union Picks

The Union will need to quickly put their huge defeat in Canada behind them this week. However, the fact that Nashville have a positive recent record against their opponents could ensure that they are the value in the betting.
