Event Preview
The start of the prestigious Tour de France is set for this Saturday in Lille, with the cycling action continuing across France until the end of the month when the Yellow Jersey winner will be crowned. This year’s event features 21 stages, and a total distance of 3,337.8 km will be covered.
Unsurprisingly, Tadej Pogacar dominates the betting and is an odds-on chance to win the French event this year. The Slovenian is the reigning champion after finishing six minutes clear of the field in 2024. This year, he will have his sights set on a fourth honor. But, he could be too short for many, considering how unpredictable the Tour de France can be.

Jonas Vingegaard fell just short in his bid to win a third straight Tour de France title in 2024, as he had to settle for second spot on the podium. But, his know-how of the circuits could count for a lot in his bid to regain the Yellow Jersey in France this summer.
Remco Evenepoel is one of the more interesting contenders this year. The Belgian rider finished third in the General Classification last year, and already has a win on the Grand tour to his name after landing the Vuelta e Espana in 2022.
Primoz Roglic is also a fascinating choice. The experienced rider has failed to finish in his last three efforts at the Tour de France, but his records elsewhere on the Grand Tour have been excellent, winning the Giro d’Italia in 2023, and claiming four victories since 2019 in the Vuelta e Espana.
Tour de France Picks
At the odds available, Joao Almeida could be an interesting selection to better his fourth-place finish in the Tour de France 12 months ago. The Portuguese rider has already won three major stage races in 2025, and he has been ultra-consistent on the Grand Tour since the start of the 2022 season.
