England vs. Canada Odds
Head-to-Head Record
Canada vs. England is one of the most intense rivalries in women’s rugby, with this weekend’s final being the 38th meeting between the nations. England holds the comprehensive advantage, having won 33 times. The latest meeting was won 21-12 by England in October 2024.
Match Preview
A sensational World Cup final is set for Twickenham on Saturday, as the two top ranked teams in women’s rugby union collide. England, led by John Mitchell, have been long-time favorites to win their home competition this summer, as they bid to avenge their heartbreaking defeat against New Zealand in 2021.
The two-time champions have been in dominant form throughout this summer’s World Cup, kicking off with a 69-7 success against the USA in August. Their performances have only got stronger as the tournament progressed, most recently beating France 35-17 in the semi-finals last weekend.

Canadian rugby has never been as popular as it is in this modern day, and on Saturday, they will be playing in just their second Rugby World Cup Final. Kevin Rouet’s side have been one of the fast improving nations in the women’s game, and a signal of that has been their performances throughout this summer’s event.
After cruising through the group stages with wins against Scotland, Wales, and Fiji, Canada stepped up their performance levels with a stunning 46-5 win against Australia in the quarterfinals. In the previous round, they eliminated reigning champions New Zealand with a 34-19 success.
England vs. Canada Picks
We flagged up Canada as our pre-tournament pick before the start of the competition, and based on their wins over Australia and New Zealand, there is little reason to change. Canada are unbeaten this calendar year, and their excellent ruck speed could cause huge issues for England, who themselves are unbeaten in 32 matches.
