Game Preview

Jannik Sinner has been in red-hot form throughout the ATP Finals, and his spot in the semi-finals has already been effectively secured. The two-time Grand Slam winner in 2025 has won each of his two matches in straight sets, which included a dominant showing against talented German player Alexander Zverev on Wednesday.

Sinner showed no remorse in that dominant win, hitting a staggering 12 aces. The Italian also dominated on the first serve, winning 83% of the points. Sinner was also clinical when creating break-point opportunities, converting from two of four chances.

This year has been a breakout campaign for Ben Shelton. The 23-year-old currently sits fifth in the world rankings, which is a career-best achievement. Meanwhile, he has won one title on the Tour in 2025 to take his tally during his career to three titles.

Shelton’s win-loss record is also strong at 40-21, but he will need to raise his game if he is to become competitive against the world-leading players. The American has come up short at the ATP Finals so far this year, losing each of his two matches. That includes a three-set loss against Felix Auger-Aliassime on Wednesday.

Jannik Sinner vs. Ben Shelton Picks

Sinner doesn’t appear to have broken a sweat just yet, and his place in the semi-final is almost assured. We expect the Italian to continue his dominant streak with a straight sets victory on Friday.
