Match Preview
The first women’s champion at the Queen’s Club for over 50 years will be crowned at Andy Murray Arena on Sunday. A fascinating clash of styles is expected in the women’s final, with the experienced Tatjana Maria already showing during the tournament that she has a game that thrives on the grass courts.
The experienced German has cruised through the competition, despite having to qualify for the championship last weekend.
She has overcome some serious contenders on her way to this stage, including sixth seed Karolina Muchova and former Wimbledon champion Elena Rybakina. In the previous round, Maria upset the odds once again after beating American Madison Keys in straight sets. The German was dominant on her serve, registering five aces.

However, this could be the summer that Amanda Anisimova comes of age at the highest level. The former Wimbledon quarterfinalist has battled back from injury to reach her peak performance level at just the right time, and she has already eliminated two higher seeded rivals on her way to this stage.
In the semi-finals, the American battled against last year’s Olympic gold medalist Qinwen Zheng, eventually winning in three sets. However, she will need to be more professional in the final after making a staggering nine double faults on Saturday. But, she was efficient when handed break point opportunities, converting on seven from nine attempts.
Head-to-Head Record
This will only be the second meeting between the stars. The first came back in 2018, as Maria overcame the inexperienced Anisimova on a hard court in China.
Amanda Anisimova vs. Tatjana Maria Picks
I have already flagged up Anisimova as an outside bet for this year’s Wimbledon title, and her game has thrived on the grass courts at the Queen’s Club over the last seven days. Despite being a short price favorite, she looks a solid chance to overcome her experienced rival.
