Event Preview
All eyes will be on New York City from the end of August, as the curtain comes down on the 2025 Grand Slam season. The US Open is the most prestigious tennis competition in North America, and it is played on a hard court.
Jannik Sinner could be challenging to overlook as the outright winner in 2025 after reaching the finals in each of the three prior Grand Slams this calendar year. Last year’s champion will also be in red-hot form after recently landing success at Wimbledon for the first time in his career.

Carlos Alcaraz is likely to be his most dangerous rival, as the Spaniard chases a second success at Flushing Meadows. Alcaraz was the winner of the French Open earlier this season, but he is yet to reach the final in a hard court Slam since winning the US Open in 2022.
Four-time US Open champion Novak Djokovic isn’t getting any younger, but the Serbian legend continues to defy expectations to perform at the very highest level. His consistency ensures that he will be a leading contender, especially after reaching the final four at the Australian Open earlier this year.
American hopes will likely hinge on Taylor Fritz, who previously won the juniors title at the US Open in 2015. His recent form is strong after reaching the final four at Wimbledon, while he has a game tailored to a hard surface after winning at Indian Wells in 2022 and reaching the US Open final 12 months ago.
Men’s US Open Outright Winner Pick
Sinner will be an incredibly hard player to overlook this year after reaching five Grand Slam finals since the start of 2024. However, at the odds, Jack Draper could be a player flying under the radar.
The British star has already excelled on the hard surface in the U.S. this year after winning at Indian Wells, and he should be capable of bouncing back from a disappointing run at Wimbledon.
