Match Preview
Before the start of Wimbledon, we flagged up Amanda Anisimova as our pick for the tournament at a huge price. To this point, she looks like a player who is capable of going deep into the tournament after a progressive display at the Queen’s Championship last month.
The American has been unfazed in her two matches to this point, winning both clashes and dropping just seven games in the process. She showed her battling qualities in the previous round after overcoming Renata Zarazua, hitting four aces. However, she will need to limit her errors after making nine double faults in that second round success.

Dalma Galfi has already matched her best ever showing at a Grand Slam event after reaching the third round at Wimbledon for the second time in her career this year. She has a game that excels on the grass, winning 57% of her matches at the All England Club since 2017.
Galfi is unlikely to be fazed by coming up against a seeded opponent after overcoming talented Brazilian Beatriz Haddad Maia in the previous round. That straight sets victory saw her drop just one game in the concluding set. The Hungarian also won 68% of the points on her first serve, and she converted on all three break point opportunities.
Head-to-Head Record
Anisimova and Galfi will be meeting for the first time in a competitive match at Wimbledon on Friday.
Dalma Galfi vs. Amanda Anisimova Picks
We really like Anisimova’s chances of going far at Wimbledon this year, as she has a game that is perfectly suited to the grass courts. This will be a more intense challenge against a talented opponent, but we still expect the American to overcome Galfi and book her spot in the next round.
