There are few brighter stars on the WTA Tour at present than Russian teenager Mirra Andreeva. The 18-year-old has already reached the semi-finals at the French Open since 2024, and she will be aiming to replicate that feat at the All England Club. She already has proven experience at the highest level of the sport after winning an Olympic silver medal in doubles last year.
The Russian has been excellent throughout the Grand Slam this year, having won each of her four matches without dropping a set. However, a statement win was delivered in the previous round after hammering Emma Navarro 6-2, 6-3. Andreeva converted on six of seven break-point opportunities, and smashed an impressive 63 winners.

Belinda Bencic has been back to her very best at Wimbledon this summer after returning to the tour following maternity leave. The Swiss star has previously reached three Grand Slam quarterfinals, but this is her best-ever showing at the All England Club.
Bencic has rolled back the years in the early stages, winning all four of her matches in a professional manner. Her latest success was an excellent showing against a seeded rival, beating Ekaterina Alexandrova in straight sets.
