A fascinating clash in the second round at the French Open is set for Wednesday, as Madison Keys and Katie Boulter collide. Keys enjoyed an excellent start to her campaign at Roland Garros, as she eased through in straight sets against Daria Saville, dropping just three games in the process.
The American has enjoyed some deep runs at the French Open, famously reaching the semi-finals in 2018 and the last eight in 2019. However, she has been unable to recapture that level of form on the clay since then, exiting at the second round or earlier in two of the last five years.

Katie Boulter was the outsider in the betting in her opening round clash against French star Carole Monnet. However, the Brit served excellently to eventually win a three-set thriller. After losing the opening set, Boulter would drop just two further games in a dominant showing.
But, it is worth considering that the clay surface isn’t one that Boulter traditionally excels on. She has already eclipsed her best showing at the French Open after reaching the second round, as she was eliminated in the first round on her first appearance in the main draw last year.
