Game Preview
The Chiefs come into this one flying high, following a win over the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Championship game, 32-29, following an exhausting battle. If it weren’t for Mahomes, who once again stuck his neck in the moments when the game was on the line, rushing for two touchdowns, the Chiefs wouldn’t be in the playoffs.
Kansas City’s rushing defense was excellent during the regular season, allowing 101.8 yards on the ground per game. However, it significantly weakened in the playoffs, allowing 148 running yards, which is a threat to the champs.
Why? Because Eagles’ RB Saquon Barkley averages 147.3 rushing yards in the playoffs. Not only that, but Philly has Jalen Hurts, who will run as well. This isn’t a heavy-run Baltimore game, nor powerful Buffalo, but Philly’s quick one-two punch, who isn’t trying to break you but bend the defense.
Also, perfect ball control is crucial because the Eagles are 8-0 in turnover differential during the playoffs. This is another thing they upgraded over the past two years, and Barkley’s arrival has plenty to do with that as well.

The last time these two teams met was in the Super Bowl LVII. Kansas City won 21-17, and it was their first win over the Eagles after four defeats in a row.

The Kansas City Chiefs haven’t been that impressive in the playoffs. Furthermore, we saw them committing some mistakes they hadn’t made in the past. On the other side, the Eagles are steaming on all cylinders, and with Barkley, they look unstoppable. We predict their win solely because of their fantastic running back.
