- Spurs opened the season with a 0-2 record.
What was supposed to be a big Texas showdown suffered a setback because Cooper Flagg probably won’t play. The young forward injured his shoulder and is likely out for this game.

Spurs vs. Mavericks Odds
Game Preview
The Spurs lost both home games, and they sure as hell didn’t expect a start to the season like this. After a 116-104 loss to the Thunder, Houston left Frost Center with a 114-110 win.
Wemby and the boys shot only 29% from three in these two games combined, and didn’t look passionate on the floor. What’s interesting is that the Rockets had more blocks, 5-3, steals, 11-10, and assists, 25-21, than the Spurs. One block came on Wemby when Thompson rejected his late attempt.
Both the Rockets and the Hawks are 2-0.

Mavericks went against all the odds in Indiana to win, 121-105. However, that triumph came at a high cost. Their best player and the NBA ROY, Cooper Flagg, exited early with a shoulder injury. He scored 14 points in 17 minutes.
Kyrie Irving stepped up to deliver 24 points, while PJ Washington added 20 with 13 boards. Kyrie had just 3 assists, and without Flagg, he needs to do better in that area. Have that in mind when picking the best NBA player prop bets.
Spurs vs. Mavericks Predictions
San Antonio is in a better position here because Dallas is playing without its leader. And even though the spread is pretty high, we are going to pick Wemby and the boys to cover it. Without Flagg, the Mavs’ offensive conception falls apart.
