The pressure remains on the New Jersey Devils ahead of game four in this second round series. They managed to kickstart their series in game three, as they registered an entertaining 8-4 home win over the Carolina Hurricanes on Sunday evening. The victory means that they could tie the series before the action moves back to Carolina.
It was an excellent performance by the Devils over the weekend, as they scored three inside the opening period. Two further efforts were netted in the second, before the final three goals were registered in the final frame. Jack Hughes scored twice for the Devils, while Dawson Mercer ended the night with three assists.
