The firm advantage coming into the second leg between the Milan giants rests with Inter. Inter was excellent in the opening leg between the sides last week, as they raced into a 2-0 advantage after eleven minutes. However, they could yet rue their missed chances against AC Milan in the first clash between the sides.

AC Milan has a huge mountain to climb in this second leg, as they must claim a 2-0 success at the San Siro to force at least extra time. The loss last week was their third straight defeat against Inter without finding the back of the net, but they have never gone four straight matches against their local rivals without scoring.

Technically this will be an away match in the Champions League for Milan. Their away form in the knockout stages has been poor, as they have landed just one win in their previous 16.
