Eintracht Frankfurt are among the most successful teams in the history of the competition, as they have won the DFB Pokal five times, and have reached the final on three further occasions. Their most recent success came back in 2018. The DFB Pokal is Frankfurt’s only route into the Europa League this term, with a victory being enough to secure the previous winners a spot.

However, they have been largely inconsistent over the final months of the season, evident from the fact that they have won just twice across their last five Bundesliga matches. But, they did end their season with a fine comeback win against Freiburg.
