It is easy to say that 2023 will live long in the memory for West Ham fans, as the club ended their long wait for a major trophy with success in the Europa Conference League. However, the Hammers will be looking to build on that successful year, beginning in their opening match of 2024 at the London Stadium against Brighton.

That victory lifted the Seagulls back into the top eight, and a second straight success on Tuesday could see them end the round as high as sixth in the Premier League standings.

That ended a 12-match unbeaten sequence for Brighton against the Hammers. However, Brighton have still landed three wins in the previous four encounters between these two sides.
