It has been a long wait for gaming fans, but the world was sent into a frenzy in December 2023, as a first look was teased at Grand Theft Auto 6. There have been rumors of the sixth installment for a number of years now, with the most recent release in the series coming back in 2013. Next year’s game will be the 16th in the overall series, and it will be set in the fictional city of Leonida.
The city will be based on Florida, and it will be inspired by Miami City. GTA 6 is expected to follow the criminal duo of Lucia and her partner, but Rockstar has remained tight-lipped, surrounding what fans can expect from the release of the game in just over 12 months’ time.

The game will be released on PlayStation 5 and Xbox series X/S next year, and it will be a significant step by developers as the game will have a female protagonist for the first time since 2000. Expectations are already sky high for the release of the game, which will once again see players explore the region of Vice City.
A number of famous faces are set to appear in the 2025 release, with DJ Khaled recently revealing that fans can expect a cameo by the rapper. Pitbull is also widely expected to feature in the game inspired by his home state of Florida. Other rappers that could feature in the game next year include 50 Cent and Eminem.
