The Merab vs. Cejudo odds are heavily in favor of the Georgian fighter who’s a -190 favorite to win at UFC 298. The reason is that he’s been really impressive over the last couple of years. In fact, after losing his first two UFC fights, Merab went on to win the following nine.
In his portfolio, he’s got wins over such elite bantamweights as Marlon Moraes, Jose Aldo, and Petr Yan. But so does his next opponent.
Cejudo is 16-3 but most of his wins happened in the last decade. He’s only fought once since 2020, and he lost that fight. It happened against Aljamain Sterling in the battle for the UFC Bantamweight title last May.
