Merab Dvalishvili didn’t get his nickname The Machine by accident. This guy is famous for being a relentless fighter that never gives up. Against Ricky Simon in 2018, for example, he was getting choked for a whole minute straight, but he didn’t give up.
Unfortunately for him, he ended up losing that fight. What’s interesting, however, is that he’s undefeated since then. He won the following nine fights, including those against real elite bantamweights such as Jose Aldo, Petr Yan, Henry Cejudo, and Sean O’Malley.
Meanwhile, Umar Nurmagomedov has only fought once against a ranked opponent. This happened last August when he beat Cory Sandhagen by decision in Abu Dhabi.
