Game Preview
The Blues didn’t have any notable activities since winning the Conference League. Head coach Maresca quietly prepared his team for this challenge, adding several players through transfers, such as Jamie Gittens.
With the end of the season approaching, Chelsea’s defense was stepping up, and the Blues had secured three clean sheets in their last five matches in the Premier League and the Conference League. As stated, they won the CL, defeating Betis 4-1.
LA FC is in solid form, and the team from the City of Angels is undefeated in their past 10 games. Among other matches, they met with Club América to decide the final participant in the Club World Cup, beating the Mexicans 2-1 following extra time.
