All eyes will be on India this weekend, as the inaugural edition of the DP World India Championship will be staged in Delhi. A lucrative purse will be up for grabs this weekend, meaning that there is no surprise that a high-quality field of stars will be in action.
This weekend marks the return of Rory McIlroy, who will be playing for the first time since playing a starring role in Europe’s Ryder Cup success. The Irishman has been in excellent form on the European Tour throughout the campaign, notably landing the Irish Open last month.
A couple of McIlroy’s Ryder Cup teammates will also be in action this weekend, including Shane Lowry, Viktor Hovland, and Tommy Fleetwood. The latter holds leading form claims after winning on the PGA Tour for the first time a few months back, and since being the MVP at the Ryder Cup.
Michael Kim could be an interesting angle this weekend. The 32-year-old enjoyed a fine recent outing at the Baycurrent Classic, finishing one-over. The American has also shown his ability on the DP World Tour this season after landing the Open de France last month.
