Game Preview

The Horned Frogs (32-5) are performing at a solid level in March Madness, taking down UC San Diego, Washington and Virginia throughout their tournament path. Marta Suarez and Olivia Miles combined for 61 points to lead TCU to the Elite Eight. Both players finished with double-doubles for the second time in three games across the Horned Frogs’ run to the quarterfinals. Suarez paired a career-high 33 points with 10 rebounds while knocking down 4-7 attempts from distance. Miles nearly notched her second triple-double of March Madness, finishing with 28 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists.

The Gamecocks (34-3) are on a roll in the NCAA Tournament, eliminating Southern, USC and Oklahoma to reach the last eight. Ta’Niya Latson had a monster outing, finishing with 28 points to lead the offense on 4-of-4 shooting from beyond the arc, 7-of-11 from the floor, and a perfect 10-of-10 at the free throw line in her first Sweet 16 appearance. Raven Johnson finished with 18 points, putting up 16 of them in the first half and draining two 3s that extended the Gamecocks’ lead to double digits.

TCU vs South Carolina Head-to-Head

The two programs are facing each other for the second time in their respective histories as the Gamecocks lead 1-0. South Carolina won the initial encounter by an 85-52 score in December 2024.

TCU vs South Carolina Predictions

The winner of this matchup will take on UConn in the Final Four on April 3. South Carolina looks to keep its Final Four streak of five consecutive appearances going with Ta’Niya Latson leading the attack. Her producing on both sides of the ball at an elite level will be crucial to the Gamecocks’ chances of success. As for TCU, they will need Olivia Miles and Marta Suarez to come through as the heart of the offense. Otherwise, South Carolina will punch its ticket to the next round. Our betting pick here is for the Gamecocks to defend a 14-point spread.
