The Stanley Cup Finals return to Carolina on Thursday, as the Hurricanes bid to pull ahead in the best-of-seven series for the first time. Carolina once again showed their battling qualities in Game 4, as they recorded a 5-3 win in Las Vegas to level the series.

Jordan Staal was in dominant form in front of goal, scoring twice from four shots. Nikolaj Ehlers ended the night with a goal and two assists.

For the second time during the Stanley Cup Finals, the Vegas Golden Knights failed to capitalize after pulling into a series advantage. Tuesday’s defeat would have hurt the Golden Knights, as they were made to pay for an extremely slow start, conceding three in the opening frame.
From that point, they were always chasing the game, and never looked likely to threaten a comeback. William Karlsson scored in the defeat, while the star man also registered an assist. Mark Stone was wasteful in the final third, scoring once from his five attempts.
