Sportsbook comparison

Bovada vs MyBookie

Bovada vs. MyBookie comparison is one of the most detailed we’ve done this year. Each of us three guys, Alex, Paul, and myself (Nikola), has scanned both of these offshore sportsbooks in search of differences, similarities, pros, cons, and everything that goes with it, to compile a decent article that will help all our readers if they ever want to see what suits their needs better.

Is Bovada/MyBookie Legit and Safe?

Is Bovada legit?

Bovada is legit and safe, as it is one of the most popular and oldest offshore sportsbooks. It’s been in business since 2011 (succeeding Bodog which was founded in 1994) and holds licenses from the Union of Comoros and the Central Reserve Authority of Western Sahara. This brand uses the KYC policy and SSL encryption.

Is MyBookie safe?

Yes, MyBookie is safe and legit. It was established in 2014 and has an e-gaming license in Curacao. The parent company of this brand is Duranbah Limited NV, registered in Curacao, though the customer service and some other parts of the company are based in San Jose, Costa Rica. They also utilize the KYC policy and the SSL encryption.Bovada

Bovada/MyBookie General Overview of Sportsbook UX

These two sportsbooks have completely opposite interface designs. While Bovada tries to keep things simple, MyBookie offers numerous extra features to its visitors.

  • Bovada prioritizes visual breathing room to say it like that. It utilizes a highly responsive, modern interface that strips away cluttered sidebars. Finding a niche game or jumping from any top soccer league menu into player props requires minimal scrolling. It’s excellent for live betting.
  • MyBookie sportsbook goes for a dense, information-heavy layout. It includes fixed sidebars, a horizontal slider for trending events, and text-heavy menus. It can feel slightly crowded on smaller mobile screens, but it keeps a massive volume of open lines immediately visible without forcing you to tap through multiple sub-menus. It’s perfectly designed, taking into account all the features displayed.

As stated before, these are two different types of interfaces. And, to be honest, when rating personal preferences play the main role. Some bettors like to have extra content, while others prefer a minimalist view.

Our vote goes to Bovada because of minimalism, which sometimes plays a crucial role in live betting situations. We have to say, it isn’t better than MyBookie, it’s simply our personal choice.

So here is Bovada, because we are minimalists. (That’s what Alex said)

Bovada/MyBookie Odds

Let’s keep it real here. Neither of these two sides offers any ultra-beneficial odds, nor do they look to satisfy the players and give them extra perks. That’s compared to some other heavyweights in the industry.

Bovada odds are for recreational bettors. MyBookie also. Both are shading lines in accordance with public opinion, and they aren’t favoring sharp bettors at all. Bovada’s juice is lower than MyBookie’s, yet nothing special. You’ll have everything important listed in the table below.

When it comes to live odds, it’s pretty much the same. The depth of the betting markets is excellent, though there are some limitations for sharp bettors. Bovada live betting is faster because the bet slip acceptance speed is 2 to 3 seconds. On the other hand, MyBookie’s in-play tracking features are far more advanced, yet the live vig is higher.

As you can see, recreational bettors are in focus. Sharp bettors might experience suspensions and flagging, and MyBookie appears to be more rigid than Bovada about this.

The bottom line is that Bovada offers better conditions for both pre-match and live betting. MyBookie may have more information and vivid in-play trackers, but we are into making money, not looking at graphic designs. (This is what Paul stated).

Online Casino

Bovada has 300+ titles, and its focus is on generous progressive jackpots, possibly the best in the entire gambling industry. There are multiple hourly, daily, and super jackpots available. The reason is that Bovada spreads its liquidity across several sister websites (Ignition and Slots.lv). That’s why table and live dealer games have extremely high limits. Also, Bovada has its own live dealer casino infrastructure.

MyBookie offers 500+ online casino games. They have more games available, though their approach is completely different from Bovada’s. Their RTPs aren’t high, and MyBookie slots are highly volatile, meaning payouts are rare yet massive. The bonus and free play rounds are what pay money, and the goal for the players. The live dealer suite is highly functional but relies entirely on external third-party streaming feeds, which can occasionally lag on mobile browsers.

Poker Review

Bovada is miles ahead of MyBookie here. First of all, they run on the PaiWangLuo network, which uses a peer-to-peer model, while MyBookie is strictly player-vs.-house, with no multiplayer poker rooms.

In general, MyBookie lists poker in its offer, but it’s more like a one-on-one playing against the dealer, that is, the system itself, not other humans.

Our Verdict: No need to take too much of your time here, Bovada is way better.

MyBookie’s edge here is 1x Free Play for sports betting, but the casino requirements are 40x, which is extremely high. Bovada crypto sports requirements are 18x, fiat 25x, and crypto casino 30x, and its rollovers remain significantly easier to clear for regular players looking to convert promotional credits into cashable balances. Also, MyBookie has plenty of reload bonus promotional codes for existing players, which we adore.

Editor’s Note: In this case, solely because we are more into sports betting than casino games, we have to side with MyBookie. Casino players might think otherwise, but all three of us are die-hard sports betting fans.

Free Play & No Deposit Bonuses

Free Plays

Both Bovada and MyBookie have promotions which include free plays. They use the SNR model, which basically means: STAKE NOT RETURNED.

Let’s say that the bettor stakes $100 and wins $300, he will only receive $200 because the stake is erased. His balance will receive only the net profit and that’s it.

No Deposit Bonuses

Neither of these brands have any classic no deposit bonuses. So if you see phrases like “Bovada no deposit bonus promo code” know that’s fake. The same applies to MyBookie.

However, there are some loyalty rewards in forms of a no deposit bonus. It usually involves earning points which are redeemed later for wither money or free plays, or in form of free spins and casino chips. But do know that max cashout caps are low, around $100.

Bovada/MyBookie Mobile App

Does Bovada have an app?

No, there’s no dedicated Bovada app available. This brand uses the PWA framework. (Progressive Web App). This type of functioning focuses on the mobile browser to access the website.

Does MyBookie have an app?

No, MyBookie does not have an app. It also uses the PWA framework.

To access either of the two sports betting websites, the player must use a mobile browser. By the way, both are working almost perfectly, even though they have different interface types. We’ve stated this earlier: Bovada is minimalistic, while MyBookie has a live, vivid platform with plenty of features.

Our Verdict: Again, a tie. Both websites are optimized and behave well, we didn’t notice any problems in their functioning.

A clear win for Bovada.

First, there are no fees for withdrawals, regardless of the payment method. Secondly, the withdrawal caps are higher, especially for payouts. Also, Bovada supports BTC Lightning, which makes BTC transfers free and extremely fast.

The only edges MyBookie has are lower entries for Ethereum and Tether deposits. This sportsbook supports some coins outside the Bitcoin/Ethereum ecosystems, like Solana, but that doesn’t significantly affect most players.

Our Verdict: With 3-to-none votes, this round goes to Bovada.

What our individual reviews say

Bovada review

A trusted and crypto-friendly sportsbook that excels in payout reliability and smooth site performance, but loses ground due to restricted state access and no official app. Best suited for players in eligible states who prefer fast, verified crypto banking.

Full review verdict

Over two weeks of verified testing, Bovada delivered reliable performance across deposits, withdrawals, and live betting speed — but with clear regional limitations. All three testers confirmed that crypto payouts cleared within two hours, while fiat withdrawals took roughly 3–4 business days. Every tested bonus activated instantly without requiring a promo code, and rollover tracking appeared correctly in the account dashboard.

The web sportsbook and casino both ran smoothly on desktop and mobile browsers, with odds loading in under 3 seconds and no disconnections during in-play bets. Support response times averaged under two minutes, and agents consistently matched the platform’s published policies.

Where Bovada fell short was accessibility. With the site blocked or restricted in 22+ U.S. states, it remains less available than competitors like BetOnline or BetUS. That limitation, combined with the lack of an official app, kept it from a higher overall rating.

Paul (8.8/10): “BTC payout landed in just under an hour and the bonus applied automatically. Smooth overall experience with no issues during rollover or withdrawal.”

Nikola (9.0/10): “Crypto payouts verified twice under two hours. The cashier system is clean, but live chat could be sharper on bonus-specific queries.”

Alex (8.3/10): “Solid execution but not flawless – restricted state access and the lack of a real app hold Bovada back. Reliable for crypto users, though far from perfect.”

A trusted and crypto-friendly sportsbook that excels in payout reliability and smooth site performance, but loses ground due to restricted state access and no official app. Best suited for players in eligible states who prefer fast, verified crypto banking.

MyBookie review

A dependable mid-tier sportsbook that thrives on simplicity and crypto accessibility. MyBookie won’t overwhelm you with features, but it nails the fundamentals — quick payments, straightforward promos, and enough reliability to keep casual bettors comfortable.

Full review verdict

Across three weeks of testing, MyBookie delivered a well-rounded experience built around strong crypto functionality, versatile bonuses, and a simple betting interface. All payouts tested cleared within posted timelines (Bitcoin in just over two hours, Ethereum in about three) and every withdrawal landed without added fees.

The platform’s value lies in accessibility and promo depth: reloads are frequent, Free Play tracking is transparent, and new bettors can find multiple active bonuses without long-term commitments. That said, the site’s slower live-odds refresh and template-heavy support responses keep it just short of top-tier operators like BetUS or BetOnline.

    • Paul (8.0/10): “Fast BTC payout and solid promos, but live chat felt more robotic than helpful.”

    • Nikola (7.9/10): “Bonuses are easy to claim, rollovers are clear – it just needs quicker mobile load times.”

    • Alex (7.6/10): “No app isn’t a dealbreaker; mobile worked fine. I’d rank it solid, not spectacular.”

A dependable mid-tier sportsbook that thrives on simplicity and crypto accessibility. MyBookie won’t overwhelm you with features, but it nails the fundamentals — quick payments, straightforward promos, and enough reliability to keep casual bettors comfortable.
