The American comes into this event after finishing in a tie for sixth in the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am last weekend, and the world number one has already shown his best form on the tour this season after winning the Hero World Challenge at the start of December. He could be challenging to oppose based on his dominant record.

Justin Thomas also finished in a tie for sixth at the event last weekend, and he could be set to produce another strong effort this weekend. Max Homa was below his usual high standards last weekend after finishing in a tie for 66^th. But, he could be a likely contender if back at his very best this weekend.

Scheffler is extremely short in the betting, meaning that we will be looking to take him on this weekend. Hideki Matsuyama could be a standout play if bouncing back from a disappointing tournament last weekend. The Japanese star has excellent form at the Phoenix Open after winning back-to-back editions in 2016 and 2017.
