Event Preview

After a couple of weeks away, the PGA Tour action resumes this weekend in Mexico. The WWT Championship has been a regular stop on the PGA schedule since it was established in 2007. However, the event will have a fresh feel this weekend, as it will be staged at Los Cabos for the first time in history.

The stroke play event will see the field cover a total of 7,363 yards, with the par 72 course boasting a purse of $8.2 million. This event has been won by some legendary players throughout history, with the aggregate records being held by both Viktor Hovland and Russell Henley, who finished with a score of 261 when winning in 2021 and 2022, respectively.

Ludvig Aberg heads the betting for the event this weekend, as the Swedish star has shown excellent form throughout the 2023 season. Aberg will be playing in his tenth event on the PGA Tour this season, and he has finished in the top ten on two occasions. He has been incredibly consistent throughout the campaign, making the cut on eight from nine efforts.

Cameron Young appears to be the main danger to the Swede according to the latest odds. The American will be making his 23^rd appearance on the Tour this season, but he is still chasing a first win. But, he has made the cut on 19 from 22 efforts, finishing as the runner-up on one previous occasion this season.
