Event Preview
This week’s action on the PGA Tour comes from the Sedgefield Country Club, as the field will compete across 7,127 yards at the Wyndham Championship. The stroke play event boasts a purse of $8.5 million, with Cameron Young likely to be a red-hot favorite in his bid to defend his title.
Young set a tournament record score when landing this event 12 months ago. It was a signature win for the American, marking his first win on the PGA Tour. Consistent wins have since followed, which includes two victories on the Tour in 2026.
Other former champions also headline the betting this weekend, including Aaron Rai and Tom Kim. The latter will be competitively priced to build on his recent Scottish Open win after finishing in the top-20 in two of his previous three starts on the PGA Tour.
Justin Thomas and Ryan Gerard should also be respected, although the latter will be aiming to make the cut for the first time at the Wyndham Championship on his third appearance. J.T. Poston has interesting claims after landing the Memorial a couple of months ago.
Sungjae Im is also expected to be competitive this weekend. The South Korean has made the cut on all six previous starts at this tournament, and he has finished in the top 15 on two of his previous three starts on the PGA Tour.
