Man City ended their wait for a Champions League success at the end of last season, but they will have questions to answer on matchday two in the competition after falling to a first defeat in the Premier League on Saturday against Wolves.

RB Leipzig are City’s most realistic challenger to the top spot in the group, and they will be looking to build on their win in matchday one this week. The German side were very professional on the road in Switzerland last time, as they secured a comfortable 3-1 victory against Young Boys.

Leipzig opened the scoring in that clash after just three minutes through Mohamed Simakan, before goals from Xaver Schlager and Benjamin Sesko in the final 15 minutes ensured that Leipzig were able to pick up maximum points. However, a season-best effort will be required against City this week.
