Man City can take another step closer to achieving a historic treble this week, as they collide with Real Madrid in the Spanish capital. The English side has been in dominant form over recent weeks, as they have easily moved to the top of the Premier League standings. City will also be looking to make history by becoming the first English team to win away from home against Real on multiple occasions.
City landed a 2-1 win on their previous visit to Spain, with that success coming in February 2020. Pep Guardiola has an excellent record against the reigning European champions, as he has lost just five times across 21 games against Los Blancos throughout his managerial career.

Real Madrid defied all expectations last season by claiming a record-extending European honor. On their way to landing Champions League success, Real eliminated City at this stage of the competition, with a pulsating semi-final clash ending in a 3-1 second leg win for the Spanish giants. This will be a huge first leg for Real Madrid, as they must claim some kind of advantage to defend in next week’s second leg back in Manchester. Carlo Ancelotti’s side often rises to the occasion, and for that reason, we could see them landing a 2-0 win on Tuesday.
