Game Preview
Lionel Messi has played seven games in the Inter Miami shirt, scoring at least a goal in each of those. In total, he’s got 10 goals to his name since joining the David Beckham-owned club. All of the games he’s played for the Herons were in the 2023 Leagues Cup, which his team won last weekend after beating Nashville SC on penalties.

They’ve signed Messi to make history, which is why their plan is to challenge for the 2023 MLS Cup. But in order to get a chance to challenge for another title, they need to qualify for the playoffs first, which is only possible if they win most of their games in the remainder of the regular season.
