There are few events on the global calendar that have the power to unify as great as Eurovision. The 2022 event was won by Ukraine, but due to the ongoing war with Russia, hosting responsibilities have been handed to the United Kingdom.

Event Preview
The Eurovision Song Contest is an unmissable event for many, and for the first time in over 20 years, the United Kingdom will be hosting the esteemed song contest. Some of the biggest stars in the world have previously competed at the contest, including Abba, Celine Dion, and Olivia Newton-John. Ted Lasso star Hannah Waddingham will join Graham Norton and Julia Sanina in hosting the extravaganza this year.
The pre-event favorites comes in a familiar form, as Loreen will be looking to become only the second artist to land victory at Eurovision on two occasions. The Swedish superstar certainly looks a deserving favorite, with her song ‘Tattoo’ tearing the house down in Tuesday’s semi-final.

Catchy songs are what Eurovision is all about. Among the songs that will be stuck in the head for days, include Austria’s Teya and Salena’s ‘Who The Hell is Edgar’, Finland’s Kaarija and his entry ‘Cha Cha Cha’, and Alessandra of Norway and her song ‘Queen of Kings’.
The United Kingdom will be represented this year by Mae Muller, but her entry of ‘I Wrote A Song’ will be an outside chance. It could also be a testing contest for the other Big Five nations, with Italy’s Marco Mengoni and France’s La Zarra also failing to capture the imagination of the mainstream audience.
Eurovision 2023 Prediction
Sweden looks extremely challenging to oppose this year, and we expect history to be made with Loreen joining Johnny Logan as the only acts to have won the Contest on multiple occasions. Other nations that I am really keen on this year include Norway’s Allesandra, while Finland’s entry has been stuck in my head since Tuesday. I also hope Belgium’s Gustaph does well on his second showing at Eurovision.
