Pick rationale
Analysis & key factors
- The Steelers defeated the Seahawks 30-23 in week 17.
- The Ravens thrashed the Dolphins 19-56 last time out.
- These teams met in week 5, with the Steelers winning 10-17.
The 9-7 Pittsburgh Steelers take on the 13-3 Baltimore Ravens in this week 18 matchup. The Steelers’ post season fate lies in the hands of other teams, but defeat here would ensure they are eliminated. The Ravens have already secured the #1 seed for the AFC and as such may rest some familiar faces.
How To Watch

Game Preview
The Pittsburgh Steelers have managed to revive their playoff hopes by winning their last two games, which includes a 30-23 victory over the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday. The team’s recent success can be attributed to the impressive performances of quarterback Mason Rudolph, wide receiver George Pickens, running backs Najee Harris and Jaylen Warren, and the solid defensive play from their secondary. There are 5 possible scenarios that would mean the Steelers qualify for the post-season.
- Steelers win & Colts/Texans tie
- Steelers win & Bills lose
- Steelers win & Jaguars lose/tie
- Steelers tie & Colts or Texans win whilst Jaguars lose
- Steelers lose & Colts vs Texans does not end in a tie, whilst the Jaguars lose and Broncos win

The Ravens 19-56 win over the Dolphins in week 17 secured them the AFC’s #1 seed, and means that they are expected to rest key players when they take on the Steelers. QB Lamar Jackson has been named as one of those to be rested, with Tyler Huntley taking on the starting role. Receivers Zay Flowers and Odell Beckham Jr did not practice on Wednesday, and if they do suit up for Saturday’s encounter they will probably only see limited time on the field. RB Melvin Gordon will take on the lead back duties, giving Gus Edwards and Justice Hill time off heading into the post-season.
Prediction
With Baltimore resting players, the Steelers are favorites for this matchup. I expect Pittsburgh to win, and leave them hoping for help from other teams in order to make the playoffs.
