It has been a season to forget for both Chelsea and Brentford this term, but there is still a long way to go in order to turn around their campaigns. The Blues will be aiming to get their form back on track after defeat in the EFL Cup final against an inexperienced Liverpool side. Chelsea have dropped into the bottom half of the standings after winning just once in their last four.
Brentford continue to flirt dangerously with relegation at this stage of the season, with just five points separating themselves and the bottom three. The Bees come into this round after suffering defeats in each of their last three matches in the competition, while they have recorded just one win from their last five in the Premier League.

Brentford upset the odds in the previous meeting between the sides this term after landing a 2-0 win at Stamford Bridge in October. That means that they will be chasing only a second ever league double over the Blues in their history.
