Scottie Scheffler once again flexed his muscles in that event, claiming a 14^th professional victory on the tour. The top-ranked player in the world will be hard to oppose this weekend, as he goes in search of a third major championship. His previous best showing at the US Open came back in 2023 when finishing in a tie for second.

Bryson DeChambeau finished a close second in the PGA Championship in the previous major on the schedule, and he has previous winning experience at the US Open after finishing six shots clear of Matthew Wolff in 2020. Brooks Koepka is another player that is hard to dismiss after winning the major in 2017 and 2018.

We like two players in the event this weekend. Tommy Fleetwood has finished in the top ten in three of the last four majors, and has claimed solid finishes at the US Open throughout his career.
