The Alex Pereira vs. Khalil Rountree Jr. fight is the main event of UFC 307, in which the two fight for the 205lb championship belt. Our prediction is that this is going to be a stand-up striking duel. In fact, we’re almost 100% certain of this.
The reason is that both prefer fighting standing up, the evidence being that Rountree has never shot a single takedown, while Pereira has one TD in his UFC portfolio.
Both are excellent strikers with a background in kickboxing. Pereira is a former Glory Kickboxing champ who’s got an 81.81% knockout rate since switching to MMA.
