Event Preview
Man City have looked back to their best in recent weeks, as they have recorded four straight wins in the Premier League. It could be a daunting sight for Crystal Palace, who will come up against Pep Guardiola’s side in the FA Cup final next week. Arsenal will also be nervously looking over their shoulders, as they could yet end this campaign as low as fifth.
Southampton’s relegation back to the Championship was confirmed a couple of weeks ago, and they will be playing for nothing more than pride across the final three rounds of matches. The Saints have suffered four defeats in their last five, and they have won just twice in 35 league outings this season.

Southampton’s record against City will do little to ease their worries, as the Saints have suffered eleven defeats in their last 15 Premier League matches against their opponents. Meanwhile, City recorded a 1-0 win in the reverse fixture this season, and they have lost just three matches in 25 against the Saints since the start of the 2004-05 season.
City boast a very dominant record against teams starting the day at the bottom of the standings. Guardiola’s side have gone 29 without defeat since a 2-1 loss against West Brom in December 2008. In their last 12 matches against teams at the bottom of the standings, City have accumulated a 44-1 aggregate advantage.
Southampton have already suffered 28 Premier League defeats this season, and they could equal the most losses in a single campaign on Saturday.
