Analysis & key factors
- Browns vs. Buccaneers odds heavily favor the Bucs at -410.
- Baker Mayfield faces the franchise that drafted him No. 1 overall in the 2018 NFL Draft.
- Both teams lost in Week 1.
Baker Mayfield will have a huge motive to win this game. He faces the team that drafted him back in 2018, but later moved on despite solid success. Ever since, the Browns can’t recover and have been hammered to the bottom of the league.

Browns vs. Buccaneers Odds
Game Preview
Well, Deshaun Watson is back, but he didn’t do anything noticeable. To be honest, the entire Browns team looked poor, and Watson at least tried to do something on the field. He was Cleveland’s best runner, logging 38 rushing yards on 6 carries.
The defense doesn’t have Myles Garrett anymore, and it showed immediately. Browns were fragile in every aspect of defense, so it’s no wonder the Jags took a 34-0 lead at one moment. Very, very poor display in general.
Tampa Bay had 4 turnovers against the Bengals, and they still managed to be within one possession. Eventually, the Bucs lost 33-27, but now have a perfect opportunity to bounce back. To do so, they’ll need a much better run game, which produced just 89 rushing yards in Cinci.
Also, the defense would have to step up, especially the pass rush which had only one sack against the Bengals. On the other hand, Baker Mayfield was sacked 4 times. The former Brown recently signed a three-year $165 million extension with the Bucs, something he didn’t get to do in the past with Cleveland.
Browns vs. Buccaneers Predictions
Let’s cut to the chase, Bucs are better than the Browns. Mayfield and the boys are very confident at home, so they should cover the spread here.
