Pick rationale
Analysis & key factors
- The Broncos won a thriller against the Rams in Week 3, defeating them 30-26.
- San Francisco climbed to 3-0, following a 36-30 shootout win against the Cardinals.
- These two teams last met on September 25, 2022, in a game that the Broncos won 11-10.
- San Francisco 49ers -3.0
In this week’s Broncos vs 49ers matchup, a key battle of the west takes place. Denver is seeking to win their third game in a row, and first on the road, to rise to 3-1. Meanwhile, San Francisco enters this game undefeated and will look to win at home and rise to 4-0.
Broncos Seeking First Road Win
The Broncos won their second game in a row on Sunday, taking down the Rams by a score of 30-26. The primetime victory vaulted Denver to 2-1 on the season. Sitting at 0-1 on the road, they’ll be aiming to get into the win column away from home in San Francisco this week. They will need QB Bo Nix, who currently ranks 24th in the NFL in QBR to halt his decline in order to lead the Broncos to a victory over the undefeated 49ers.

49ers Aim to Stay Unbeaten
San Francisco is off to another strong start this season, currently sitting at 3-0 with the NFL’s best point differential. They once again appear to be a favorite to win the NFC, but also showed some key vulnerabilities last week in a 30-point defensive showing against Jacoby Brissett and the Arizona Cardinals. Typically one of the NFL’s most dominant teams on defense, the 49ers will aim to get back on track against the Broncos this week.

Broncos vs 49ers NFL Pick
It’s a bit surprising to see such a narrow spread in this game. Denver may be playing better football, but their inconsistency at QB and struggles on the road are worth noting. When faced with a 3-0 49ers team in San Francisco, it is unlikely that the Broncos will be up to the task of pulling off the upset. I wouldn’t expect a major blowout or anything along those lines, but the 49ers should win this one without too much issue.
