Event Preview
High-quality golf action is set for Georgia this weekend, as the RSM Classic will be staged at the Sea Island Golf Club Seaside Course. A total distance of 7,005 yards will be covered by the players involved, with an attractive purse of $7 million being up for grabs.
The tournament record is held by 2023 winner Ludvig Aberg, who finished 23-under when claiming an aggregate score of 253. Meanwhile, Maverick McNealy is the defending champion after holding off Daniel Berger, Luke Clanton, and Nico Echavarria to win by a shot in 2024.
Canadian player Mackenzie Hughes has been an unlucky loser in this event on two occasions. However, he is also a previous winner of the RSM Classic. His respected form at the course also includes a T5 12 months ago.
Brian Harman also has huge course experience, finishing in the top five on two previous occasions. Harman will be back Stateside this weekend after finishing T26 in India on the European Tour.
Vince Whaley also deserves huge respect. He has cashed in on his last 18 starts, and has continued to play at a high level after finishing T3 in Bermuda last weekend. Also has a solid course record, and is expected to go well.

Alex Smalley makes plenty of appeal this weekend following an excellent T3 at the Bermuda Championship last weekend. The American’s rock-solid form also saw him finish T4 at the Baycurrent Championship.
