Cincinnati Bengals

The Bengals won the NFC North for the 2nd consecutive season. After going 25-53-1 from 2016 to 2020, Cincinnati was transformed by Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase, going 22-11 over the past two years. After losing in the Super Bowl in 2021, the Bengals narrowly lost the AFC Championship Game to the Chiefs in 2022. They should be one of the NFL’s best teams once again. I could see them winning 13 games in 2023.

Baltimore Ravens

The Ravens bounced back last season, returning to the playoffs. It was an impressive result considering the lack of weapons for QB Lamar Jackson. With Marquise Brown gone and Rashod Bateman injured, the leading wide receiver was Demarcus Robinson with 458 yards. In 2023, Baltimore brought in Zay Flowers and Odell Beckham Jr. I see them reaching 10 wins again, but any more will be tough in a stacked division.

Cleveland Browns

The Browns had another down year, finishing last in the division with 7 wins. The biggest reason for their struggles was an 11-game suspension for QB Deshaun Watson, who Cleveland traded a haul to acquire. In his first full season with the Browns, Watson needs to be far better than the bottom-5 performance he posted last season. I’d slam the under for the Browns in 2023. I really don’t see them exceeding 8 wins.

Despite being expected to enter a rebuild, Pittsburgh was able to ride the success of their defense to a solid finish. They missed the postseason on a tiebreaker, but are set up well for 2023. QB Kenny Pickett struggled in limited time as a rookie, but also flashed his potential. I see Pickett and Pickens leading the Steelers to 9-10 wins.
