Preview

Ohio State won another game with confidence last week, easily avoiding falling victim to a trap game with Michigan up this week. The Buckeyes are hoping to get back in the win column after losing their last two games against the Wolverines. The winner of this game will face Iowa in the Big-10 title game, and be all but locked into a CFP spot. Ohio State will need their loaded offense to wear down Michigan’s defense.

Michigan had a bit of a scare last week against Maryland, but emerged victorious. The early kick-off combined with a road trip and no Jim Harbaugh made things sketchy for the Wolverines. They’ll have a chance to make a statement to the committee if they can win here. In the wake of their sign-stealing controversy, as well the huge CFP stakes, all eyes will be on Michigan’s ability to compete in this game.

Prediction

This classic rivalry returns in Week 12 once more. Ohio State has dominated the rivalry over the past two decades, but hasn’t been as good in the past few seasons. Michigan took advantage of that, winning two straight Big-10 titles and making the CFP two years in a row. They have the advantage of being at home this year, but could be distracted by recent events. I see the Wolverines winning a low-scoring matchup.

NCAAF Picks:

  • Michigan 27, Ohio State 23 ()
