Despite showing promise in their latest outing, the Golden Knights have suffered six regulation time losses in their last ten to relinquish top spot in the Pacific Division to the Anaheim Ducks.
But, Vegas showed their offensive quality over the weekend to respond, as they claimed a 3-2 win over the Dallas Stars. Brayden McNabb, Ivan Barbashev, and Reilly Smith all scored goals in the victory.
The Winnipeg Jets will still have playoff aspirations of their own at this stage of the season. They come into this round sitting sixth in the Central Division, showing promise across their last ten after winning five times and suffering just three losses in regulation.
The Jets claimed a dramatic win in their latest outing, overcoming the New York Rangers in a shootout. Winnipeg’s goals in that victory were scored by Adam Lowry and Gabriel Vilardi.
