The Vegas Golden Knights were able to make home advantage count in game one of their series against the Oilers on Wednesday evening. Despite being outsiders in the betting, Vegas made the quicker start by scoring three in the opening period. The Golden Knights also ended sharper than their rivals, scoring three further goals in the final period.
Ivan Barbashev was in excellent form for the Golden Knights in that opening game, as he scored twice from three shots on goal. Jack Eichel, Mark Stone, and Michael Amadio also all netted goals in the win. Meanwhile, Zach Whitecloud ended the night with two assists.

Like in the opening game, the Oilers will come into game two as the moneyline favorites to claim victory. The Oilers were slightly out-battled in game one of the series, as they were out-scored in the opening and final periods. However, they still showed throughout the game that they have the quality to really hurt the Golden Knights defensive line.
The Oilers scored twice in the opening frame, before they netted the same number of goals in the final period. There was no denying who the star of the show was, as Leon Draisaitl scored all four goals in the defeat for the Oilers. His form throughout the playoffs has been excellent, and he will once again be their standout chance on Saturday.

The Oilers showed that they have the quality to hurt the Golden Knights in game one, and we expect them to get more rewards for their efforts in game two. Therefore, we expect Edmonton to level the series at T-Mobile Arena this weekend, ahead of the series moving to Canada next week.
