It has been an excellent run for the Carolina Hurricanes in the opening round of the playoffs to this point, and their spot in the next round could be assured on Tuesday. The Hurricanes could seal the series victory with a fourth win in five games over the Islanders.
They put themselves within a single victory of the next round after claiming success in game four on Sunday evening. The Canes started quickly, and went into the final period with a 3-0 advantage.
